Toddler House

Ages 18 – 36 Months

Our Toddler House Community is located in a cozy, home-like setting that is designed to nurture the spirit and support the rapidly developing minds and bodies of very young children.

The Toddler House Environment

The Toddler House is composed of 12 children ages 18 months to 3 years olds. Two teachers are their guides; they create a safe and nurturing environment that both comforts and stimulates children as they learn and grow. Children often stay for two years in the toddler room, giving their relationships with friends and adults time to develop before beginning in the 3-6 year program of The Children’s House.

Engage their
growing curiosity

Teachers are specialists in working the great joys and challenges of the toddler age group. Teachers partner closely with parents and help guide them in the establishment of autonomy, separation, toilet learning, and other issues that arise during this important time of life. The educational program includes practical life skills, experiences in arts and sciences, and activities for sensorimotor and language development. Children have opportunities to gather in larger groups for music, art, Spanish, and a healthy snack. The children also are given plenty of time to freely choose the age-appropriate works available on the shelves of the classroom and enjoy outside time in our toddler garden.

Program Schedule

The Toddler House Program is scheduled Monday-Friday from 8:15-11:15.

An all-day option from 8:15-3p is also available.
